In time for its 150th birthday, Canada is named as the most reputable country in the world.
Canada, with 82.8 RepTrak Pulse points ranked on top in the most recent annual survey conducted by the Reputation Institute. Up from being in second place, Canada bumped Sweden from being the 2016’s number 1. In the past 6 editions of the report, Canada has been on the top rank in four occasions and was surpassed by Switzerland and Sweden last year.
In a statement from Fernando Prado, Reputation Institute’s managing partner, he stated that “A country’s reputation has a direct impact on tourism, its exports and foreign investment.”
Reputation Institute is the world’s leading research and advisory firm for reputation. In it’s Country RepTrack study that took place in March, the reputation of the 55 countries with the highest Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was measured based on the evaluation of 17 variables grouped into three categories: effective government, advanced economy and appealing environment.
