My husband once asked me what it is in blogging that I like… He was wondering that I complain about going home tired from work, not getting enough rest on weekends or not getting enough sleep and yet I still find time to write for my blog.

I recently got a chance to catch up with a high school friend through Facebook.  He and his family are based in another country.  When he learned that I am in Winnipeg, he asked a few questions about my location, “Where is Winnipeg? There are a lot of cities in Canada, why did you choose there?”

It’s been 1,000 days since we had our passports stamped by the Immigration Officer when we entered Vancouver Airport…

Allow me to share with you the things that I miss in the Philippines. Yes, I have enumerated a number of things that made us decide to finally move here and probably stay here ’til we grow old, but being here for less than a year and being a Filipino at heart there are still things, places, foods or activities  that I miss seeing, going to, eating  or doing.

Today happens to be our 100th day here in Canada. How time really flies, it seems like it was just yesterday that I was too busy completing our documentations and requirements for our application as Provincial Nominee.

If you will ask me if being an Immigrant was part of my dreams or plans when I was still young, I tell you, it did not even come into my mind to work abroad most especially to live in other country permanently.

About Us

Momsiecle is short for Momsie’s Circle. As our family start a new chapter of our lives in Winnipeg in 2009, I also started to write about my challenges and triumphs in Canada as an immigrant, my mommy stories, my everyday life experiences and everything in between. Enjoy your visit!
