Most new comers come to Canada with all the zeal and expectations when they arrived – to get a good and stable job, be able to have their own home, to buy a new car and provide a comfortable life for their family. Though I also have high expectations when it comes to getting a better-paying job, a part of me was also prepared with the possibility of not getting the job that is inline with what I used to do when I was still in the Philippines.

“All my bags are packed I’m ready to go…”
Now that you have prepared the stuff that you are bringing with you on your big move, preparing to bring along your funds with you should also be on top of your priorities.

This is somewhat considered to be a “late” post, but because I promised to myself that I will try to at least have one post every month – I thought of using this challenge that I am into for this month.

As promised, I would like to share with you my journey of bringing my parents to Canada. As much as I want to share how the whole application process went, I guess this will be the last one for my supposedly series of post (for now).

In my previous post I shared some information about the new intake process for parents and grandparent’s sponsorship to Canada.  Being one of the thousands hopeful sponsors, I want to make sure that I am aware of the most recent information (process) and I have the right information and documents in preparation for the submission of my interest to sponsor my parents on January 28, 2019.

I am one of the many Canadian immigrants who have been trying to bring my parents to Canada as permanent resident. I first submitted my sponsorship immigration in 2011 (if my memory serves me right), up to this date, my application has not moved forward, I still remained to be a sponsorship applicant.

About Us

Momsiecle is short for Momsie’s Circle. As our family start a new chapter of our lives in Winnipeg in 2009, I also started to write about my challenges and triumphs in Canada as an immigrant, my mommy stories, my everyday life experiences and everything in between. Enjoy your visit!
